Multiple gunshots were fired from a black or dark-colored Mitsubishi SUV at the intersection of North Clarendon and West Wilson Avenues, around 1:37 a.m.
Although there were no reports of any injuries, a red Nissan parked in front of 4550 North Clarendon Avenue sustained several bullet holes, said police.
According to one source, the shooter was aiming at a male and a female who were walking along the sidewalk.
After the shots were fired, the getaway vehicle sped eastbound on Wilson, then southbound on North Lake Shore Drive.
As stated in our January 6, 2012, report on the shooting at Gooseberry Playlot, police predicted there would be a violent response to Friday's shooting.
I'm gonna move on UP to Uptown and "turn it around" with my hillbilly gay Kentucky a**. Oh nevermind, this has been tried before.
ReplyDeleteIn the old days when Uptown was inhabited by hard drinking hillbillies and Native Americans the area was fairly grungy but for the average person who minded their own business there really wasn't much of a safety issue. People weren't harmed randomly. Add section 8 and blacks and it's turned into the typical hazardous black ghetto with the drive-by shootings and the like. I'll take the hillbillies and Native Americans any day.
ReplyDeleteThey need to hire a squad of elite soldiers and give them a license to kill and a month to go around the city taking care of business, should take about two weeks to clean up Uptown.
ReplyDeleteThey should also take a wrecking ball to Lawrence House, WIlson Men's hotel and the "Lorelai" while everybody is still in it.
