Man shot taking out trash near Uptown, Edgewater border

A shooting victim, described as a 25-year-old white man, was shot near Chicago’s Uptown, Edgewater neighborhood border, said police.

The victim was taking out his garbage on the 5300 block of North Sheridan Road when he heard a “pop”, said police.

According to investigators, the man was shot in his left hand.

Citing preliminary reports, the victim did not see the shooter. 

The patient was transported to an area hospital in good condition.
