The attempted robbery occurred around 9:22 p.m. on the 1200 block of West Waveland Avenue, near Waveland and Racine, said police.
The offender was described as a black man, approximately 6-feet-tall, 240 pounds, and extremely “fit”.
The would-be thief was wearing a gray shirt, jeans, and he was carrying a large, gray and yellow backpack.
After the incident, the offender fled southbound on Racine Avenue.
At 9:32 p.m., authorities apprehended the suspect near a bus stop at Addison and Sheffield.
Wow its nice to see the cops do some work and catch one of the male/usuals.

I have been holding the iPhone in a pronounced, Im distracted kinda way. Sometimes I even try to stumble around and shuffle my feet like Im really drunk. And still got a full clip; dammit...
