Cops: Lakeview robber made victim withdraw cash from ATM

A North Side robbery suspect held a man at gunpoint and made him withdraw $40 from an ATM, said police.

The armed robbery occurred around 6:45 a.m., at the intersection of North Lincoln and North Southport Avenues, said police.

Investigators said the gunman also took the victim’s car keys.

The suspect is a black male in his 20s, about 6’3”, and approximately 200 pounds. He was wearing a red and blue polo shirt with gray short pants.

After the robbery, the mugger fled southbound on Lincoln Avenue.
