Blood in Rogers Park basement leads cops to ‘victim’

Police responded to a Far North Side apartment building after a tenant found blood in the basement.

The incident, which was reported around 10:28 p.m., occurred at 7509 North Greenview Avenue, near Greenview and Birchwood, in Rogers Park, according to police dispatch.

Citing police communications, blood was found on the basement walls.

At 10:39 p.m., a police supervisor was requested at the scene.

Ten minutes later, authorities asked police dispatch if the Chicago Fire Department had been to the North Greenview Avenue address.

According to dispatch, there was no indication the CFD had been to that location.

At 10:58 p.m., an officer at the scene said he found a “victim” on the 3rd floor and immediately requested an ambulance.

At the time of this report, no further details were available.

  1. Rogers park = "the most diverse neighborHOOD in the entire U.S.A." according to Wikipedia and some Chicago natives. I didn't buy it either.

  2. Oh, and they're begging for "us" on that Eastlake Terrace strip. They actually call back (= begging in "uppity" Chicago). Go figure.
