Cops: iPhone snatched at downtown Starbucks

A customer’s iPhone was stolen at a downtown coffeehouse Monday afternoon, said police.

The initial police dispatch report, which aired around 4 p.m., indicated a cell phone was stolen from a Starbucks at 8 North Michigan Avenue.

However, that address puts the crime scene near a bus stop next to Millennium Park.

The closest Starbucks in the area is at 68 East Madison; so that’s probably where the incident occurred.

Investigators said an 18-year-old male black, dressed in all dark clothing, stole a black iPhone in a pink case.

One report indicated the young cell phone thief was in the company of two younger boys.

As of 4:44 p.m., there was no indication an arrest was made

  1. Their employees "snatch" your name off of your debit card and track down where you work to "link" with them via social media. What's the diff? I avoid Starbucks.
