Around 5:33 p.m., a robbery was reported at 4510 North Clark Street.
The initial police dispatch report indicated a business was robbed at gunpoint.
The suspects were described as two male whites.
One offender had an earring in his ear and was wearing a gray sweatshirt.
During their investigation, responding officers determined the business was not robbed, there was no gun, and the offenders were possibly male Hispanics.
The shoplifters stuffed three electric razors in a bag, but the store manager grabbed the bag before the offenders could escape, said police.
The crooks were last seen running westbound on Sunnyside from Clark Street.

I think there's a category for "White, Non-Hispanic" on the census & online employment forms now. Could have been anything, ooops, I mean anybody these days.
ReplyDeleteMales with earrings though, of any color, race or creed......? Throw in some tatoos.....stay away.
Christmas time is coming! Gotta get those gifts somehow!
ReplyDeleteYes, first year in Chicago around the holidays those CTA trains were sho 'nuff danjus with 'em rollin' from car to car through those doors. I noticed.
ReplyDeleteKeep your eyes/ears open!
What? No gun? Obviously these boys didn't know what they were doing. Had they been black, there would have been a gun and they would have gotten away with the goods...after shooting the store manager.
ReplyDeleteWhy do black always got to come up even after they said it was two male WHITES?
ReplyDelete"WHITEs", in our PC culture, simply means non-black anymore. Could be Mexican or Arab (or "mixed", used at convenience). I sincerely don't think your envision of "Whites" robbed this store. Trust me. I'd need to see the blue-light camera capture to be proven wrong. Where is it?
ReplyDeletePolice should stop using racial descriptions. Instead just bring a color chart and ask "how dark was he"?
