
On Tuesday, November 29, 2011, around 10 p.m., two men were robbed on the 5600 block of South University Avenue, said authorities.
According to the University of Chicago Police Department, two male offenders, one of them armed with a gun, stole property from the male victims.
Both suspects were apprehended while trying to escape police, said the UCPD.
Four days later, a second robbery occurred a few blocks away from the November 29th armed robbery.
Saturday, December 3, 2011, at approximately 5:25 p.m., a male victim was assaulted and robbed on East 57th Street, between the 5700 block of South Woodlawn Avenue and the 5700 block of South Kimbark Avenue.
Investigators said an unknown male struck the victim and snatched the victim's iPhone.
As of December 5, 2011, the cell phone thief was still at large.
The University needs to re start N**** removal OOOOPS I mean the urban removal projects for the neighboring slums. Just full speed ahead roll over all those community activist, poverty pimps , etc. The University needs to protect itself first.
ReplyDeleteSo true Anon 4:10pm, those kids pay alot to go to the University of Chicago. When you pay $100,000 for an education, that should guarantee safety and security from ghetto thugs for gods sake!!! Totally messed up at U of C. Those kids need to be protesting this crap!
