Gas main break in Bowmanville neighborhood


Monday morning, authorities reported a gas main break in Chicago’s North Side, Bowmanville neighborhood.

The incident occurred at approximately 9:25 a.m., near the intersection of West Bryn Mawr and North Ravenswood Avenues.

According a responding officer, the exact location of the leak was 1759 West Bryn Mawr Avenue.

The incident was described as a low pressure leak, that was quickly brought under control.

At the time of this report, fire officials said there was no need to evacuate the surrounding areas.
