Robbery on Michigan Avenue: Victim chases thief


A male victim gave chase after his property was stolen on Michigan Avenue, said police.

Around 7:42 p.m., a man was robbed on the 200 block of North Michigan Avenue, near Michigan and Lake Street.

Investigators said a male black offender stole the victim’s wallet and fled westbound on Lake Street to Garland Court.

Authorities met with the victim at Lake and Garland.

The crook managed to get away.

The offender is approximately 15-years-old and was last seen wearing a red shirt with a sweater tied around his neck.

He was also carrying a blue, drawstring backpack.
