Uptown: Man beaten, possibly robbed on Kenmore Ave.


Wednesday morning, three suspects attacked a man in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood, said police.

The incident occurred at approximately 3:14 a.m. on the 4800 block of North Kenmore Avenue, near Kenmore and Lawrence, said authorities.

The suspects were described as two men and a woman.

One offender was wearing a red tank top and the other two were wearing baseball caps, said the eyewitness.

No further descriptions were provided.

Police toured the area, but couldn’t find the victim or the suspects.

At 3:35 a.m., the victim flagged the police down at an unspecified location.

After interviewing the victim, the officer confirmed the attack occurred at Kenmore and Lawrence.

The officer told dispatch that he believed the assault took place during a robbery.

The victim, who sustained injuries to his head, was taken to Weiss Memorial Hospital, 4646 North Marine Drive, in unknown condition.
