| Tatioun Williams: Baby-faced criminal or innocent teen? |
15-year-old Tatioun Christopher Williams was shot to death after he allegedly aimed a gun at two Chicago police sergeants investigating a South Side robbery.
The robbery occurred Wednesday, May 25, 2011, around 8 p.m. on the 7000 block of South Cregier Avenue in South Shore.
Williams and a second suspect, purportedly robbed a man at gunpoint.
When police caught up with the offenders and ordered them to stop, one of the suspects aimed a weapon at the officers, said authorities.
Williams was shot in the back and later pronounced dead at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
A Chicago News Report investigation uncovered a link between Williams and 19-year-old murder victim, Markell Stribling.

Although it isn't clear if Williams and Stribling knew one another, they definitely knew some of the same people. And, Williams, like Stribling, possibly had ties to a Chicago street gang. In fact, some of Williams' Facebook friends referred to him as "lil folks", a nickname often used for members of the Disciples.
In response to William's death, some of the dead teen's online associates seem to be plotting revenge and claiming to be police killers.
A male using the moniker Liltwenty Allaboutthembandz, posted messages on Facebook referring to himself as a C.P.D.K., Chicago Police Department Killer:
Williams' mother, Lois Pickett, tearfully told the media that her son, who had a history of arrests, would never carry a gun. That may or may not be true, but Williams was certainly running with the wrong crowd and now... he's dead.
I heard his mom saying that familiar phrase "he never would carry a gun"..Seems the witness they stuck up knows better. What do you think, you can point a gun at a cop and they're going to stand there and clap...

You have to be really stupid to post a threat against the police department online. And you have to be a complete imbecile to post your picture along with the threat!
ReplyDeleteLooks like he graduated to major, hard core crime at a pretty young age. Very precocious of him. Now he's graduated to the next level. No telling what he would have ended up doing, probably murdering someone else and doing life at one of our state hotels.

ReplyDeleteI knew Tatioun,he wasnt a saint but he was my friend. It was only a few days ago before his death that i last seen him. its not like we sat around in watched his bad behaviors. You cant help someone who doesnt want help.The term " lil folks", is some times how people refer to each other.You never knew what type of mother he had she could have been a good or bad. Its not her fault because no matter what, a person will do what they want. Maybe she did try her best at teaching him the right ways to behave. however like most teen today he didnt listen. Or maybe she just didnt want to believe. No parent should like hearing how bad there child is.A amother never thinks that she would have to out live her child .Im just another teen that probally dosent know what thier talking about.

ReplyDeleteTo all of you who didn't know this young man and you weren't there when he was killed so you don't know all the facts but you're quick to put the blame on him for being shot in the back....if it was your kid I bet you would take a totally different position and be looking for a lawyer to sue the CPD. Such hypocrisy!
