A suspect involved in a South Side robbery fled the scene on a CTA bus, said police.
The robbery occurred around 12:14 a.m., on the 7000 block of South Halsted Street in Chicago’s Englewood community.
A thief, described as an African-American man, approximately 5’9”, and last seen wearing a black jacket and blue jeans, jumped on a northbound No. 8 Halsted bus.
Police caught up with the bus several blocks away.
The CTA bus driver said a man matching the suspect’s description, got off the bus at 60th or 61st and Halsted Street.
Authorities are investigating.
