Police are searching for a criminal who robbed a Far North Side restaurant and took off with hundreds of dollars.

Around 8:30 p.m., the Rogers Park Subway sandwich shop at 6555 North Clark Street near the corner of Albion and Clark, was robbed.

The offender, who was described as twenty-something-year-old African-American man wearing a mask, entered the restaurant and demanded the cash from the register. It isn't clear if the robber used a gun.

$300.00 was stolen from the sandwich shop, said police.

The crook was last seen going eastbound on Albion, from Clark Street.

  1. Seems there have been many Subways robbed lately. Subways and 7/11's seem to be easy marks. Guess they'll need to employ security which means items will go up in price. Law biding taxpayers just continue to pay more & more for the items they PAY FOR because of these ghetto thugs stealing their items and the money. What's wrong with this picture?
