Video: Chicagoans Document 2011 Blizzard
Youtube video description: Video of the beginning of the Chicago Blizzard of 2011. In this video, I'm driving east on Sauk Trail beginning around I-57 in Richton Park, IL all the way to near the Indiana state line in Sauk Village, IL and just past the state line in Dyer, IN and in Schererville, IN. The winds gust at near 50 mph blow the flag at the Speedway in Dyer, IN. The Northwest Indiana blizzard of 2011.

Youtube video description: Footage taken from inside my 12th floor apartment on Lake Shore Drive on the north side of Chicago on Lake Michigan, and from a three-block walk to a store on the corner. Winds are above 60 mph, lightpoles are falling over on some streets, it's nearly impossible to stand up in the wind, cars and buses are stalling, sliding, or parked on the street, it's rush hour but hardly anyone is outside.... this is intense.
