Shortly after midnight, police scrambled to the CTA train station at 22 East Roosevelt Road. 911 calls indicated a CTA passenger was carrying a gun.
The CTA train conductor stopped the train before it reached the Roosevelt platform.
When police arrived, the delayed train pulled into the station.
Officers quickly located the suspect and soon discovered the alleged gun was really a cigarette lighter... shaped like a pistol.

ReplyDeleteWHAT an idiot. Good way to get yourself shot! Suppose he thinks it's cute.
That was definitely a bad decision. People are on high alert when riding CTA's trains. So carrying anything that looks like a weapon is bound to get someone's attention.
