The crime was reported at 7:40 p.m. and occurred at 1400 South Canal Street in the city’s Dearborn Park community.
Two African-American men, armed with a gun and a knife, stole a Ford Taurus with the license plate 452KY5, said police.
According to authorities, the carjackers were last seen headed northbound on Canal Street.
