Reportedly, a two-story home on Chicago’s south side has collapsed.
The building is located at 8704 South Baltimore Avenue in the South Chicago neighborhood.
So far, I have been unable to determine why the structure gave way. The structural damage may be fire-related, since firefighters were already on the scene when the collapse was reported.
8700 South Houston Avenue was temporarily closed while police and emergency workers were on the scene.
