West Rogers Park: Man Robbed at Gunpoint

This evening, around 7:30 p.m., a man was robbed at gunpoint in Chicago’s far north side West Rogers Park neighborhood.

The robbery occurred near the intersection of North Hoyne and West Hood Avenues; which is approximately 6100 North Hoyne Avenue.

The victim was accosted by three African-American men in their early to mid-twenties. All three suspects are approximately 5’9” to 5’11” and were last seen wearing all dark clothing.

One of the thieves displayed a black or dark blue steel handgun and stole the victim’s wallet and cell phone, said police.

After the robbery, the assailants fled eastbound on Hood Avenue.

On January 23, 2011, around 9:30 p.m., an elderly person was robbed on the 6100 block of North Damen Avenue.

  2. I suspect their day jobs are resting and getting plenty of sleep, so they troll the streets at night! :-)
