A man was attacked with a baseball bat at a northwest side CTA bus stop.
The incident was reported at 1:58 a.m. and occurred at a number 77 Belmont bus stop on the 4500 block of West Belmont; near the intersection of West Belmont and North Kilbourn Avenues.
It's unclear if the robbery happened on the eastbound or the westbound side of the street.
The victim told police a white man with a baseball bat hit him on the head and stole his wallet. Then, the suspect jumped into a vehicle, driven by a second man, and took off.
The offender is approximately 30-years-old, 175 to 185 lbs, and about 5’10”. He was seen wearing a light-colored (possibly light blue or gray) jacket and blue jeans.

ReplyDeleteI sure hope there is a better description of this thugs car. If victims don't give better descriptions than these thugs, ghetto thugs and "thugettes" will NEVER be caught and will strike again. The car may have been the key here. I realize it's hard to do that when you're being attacked but it's the only way police can catch them. Everybody seems to look alike. I sure hope this person is alright.
ReplyDeletenooone90210, thank you. Do you know of any websites that provide accurate neighborhood boundaries for Chicago?
ReplyDeleteTimothy, I'll check, because "a lot" of the websites I used are now gone.
ReplyDeletenoone90210, thanks I appreciate it. Google Earth does not define neighborhood boundaries, and a lot so-called real estate websites aren't always accurate.
