Hit and Run: Driver Strikes Downtown Fire Hydrant

 Police are looking for a driver involved in a downtown, Chicago hit and run car accident.

The incident occurred around 2:28 a.m. at the northwest corner of the intersection of South Michigan Avenue and East Van Buren Street.

According to police, a driver struck the fire hydrant and keep going. Officers were hoping the incident was caught on video. However, subsequent reports indicate there are no working cameras in the area.

  2. Age might be a factor too. Downtown has had quite a few "accidents" (some deadly ?) caused by elderly people. Of course, the culprits could have been teenagers too.
