Ron Santo Fan Arrested for Defacing CTA Red Line Subway Wall

48-year-old Ron Brakes of Wheeling, Illinois, was arrested December 9, 2010, for allegedly writing graffiti on the walls of a CTA, Red Line subway station.

According to Fox Chicago News, Brakes took a Sharpie marker and wrote the following words, misspellings and all, on the subway walls of the Grand Avenue train station at 521 North State Street:

"Good! Buy! Ron Santo! Cubs Best Cub Thirt-Baseman Forever Love Always God".

Breaks, who was charged with criminal defacement of property and possession of a marker with intent to deface, told police he was trying to do a "good thing".

Before his arrest, Breaks went to Ron Sonto's public visitation at Holy Name Cathedral.

  2. It is always a suburban moron that does something stupid when it comes to the cubs, go down to wrigleyville on the cubs home game, every idiot white middle aged male from schaumburg or arlington heights over drinking & hitting on the young 20 somethings ladies who are getting free drinks from these mornons. Come to the game & go back to your wife's, before you lose all your money to the city girls and or getting your ass kicked. Which then if my unit is sent down there ( city loves to send police to protect drunken suburbanites from themselves) I have to arrest your dumb ass & have useless paper work to do, instead of spending my time on focusing on gangs!!
