Man Shot in Gage Park, South Shore Pizza Delivery Man Robbed

A 22-year-old man was shot on the 5700 block of South Mozart Street in Chicago’s Gage Park neighborhood. The shooting occurred around 8 p.m.

According to an officer on the scene, the victim was shot twice and taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition.

A police evidence technician was requested at 8:23 p.m. Authorities are processing blood evidence and a cell dropped at the crime scene. The blood and cell phone belong to the victim.

Police made no indication that a suspect was in custody, nor did they offer a description of the offender.

A pizza delivery driver was robbed in Chicago’s South Shore community. An employee at De Acros Pizza, 2832 East 87th Street,  reported the robbery at 8:19 p.m.

The complainant said a pizza delivery driver was stuck up by a suspect carrying a shotgun or riffle. The exact location of the robbery and a description of the offender was not disclosed.
