Ok, I'm a little confused here. "there may be a child in the backseat"? What, the person who owns the car doesn't know where their child is? Was this a little "quickie" stop and the kid was left in the car sleeping while they were getting some nookie? There either is or isn't a child in the backseat, not "may be".
ReplyDeletetowanda, the victim didn't speak English and the translator didn't make it clear if a baby was in the backseat, or not. The only thing the 911-call-taker told dispatch, is that a baby MIGHT be in the backseat.
ReplyDeleteSomeone needs to do an investigative report on the accuracy and competency of Chicago's 911 operators. You should hear some of the messages sent to dispatch.
That's just pathetic. Seems if someone calls 911 and doesn't speak english, they would put caller on with someone who speaks the callers language. Just a thought. Do 911 operators even have to have a GED?
