Police are looking for two suspects who may have been involved in two crimes - in less than 10 minutes.
The first offense, which was an attempted robbery, occurred around 6:44 p.m., at the intersection of North Laramie Avenue and West Belle Plaine Avenue on Chicago’s northwest side.
A woman was approached by an African-American man and an African-American woman, who attempted to rob her. When the thieves realized the woman didn’t have any money, they told her, “Walk west on Laramie. Don’t look back and don’t call the police!”
Around 6:53 p.m, a man was badly beaten during a robbery on the 5100 block of West Irving Park Road. Again, the offenders were described as an African-American man and a African-American woman.
The victim was taken to Our Lady of the Resurrection Medical Center at 5645 West Addison Street. His condition was not disclosed.
The thieves, who were armed with a black, semiautomatic handgun, were both wearing black jackets with fur around the collar. Similarly, both offenders were described as 5’4” to 5’5”, and 110 to 120 lbs.
