CTA Passengers Terrorized on #15 Jeffery Local Bus

Around 6:48 p.m., multiple CTA bus drivers, as well as several passengers, reported a group of teenagers repeatedly boarding #15 Jeffery Local buses and pointing guns at the passengers. The incident occurred at a bus stop on the 6700 block of South Jeffery Boulevard.

From what I gathered, the hoodlums got on several buses, pointed guns at the passengers, and fled the scene; mostly likely hiding in a nearby golf course. Moments later, they would return to the same bus stop and repeat the threat of violence.

It isn’t clear if the teens were working up the nerve to rob the passengers, or merely wanted to terrorize them.

Meanwhile, #15 Jeffery Local buses on the 7900 block of South Jeffery Blvd. were pelted with bottles and bricks. I became aware of the crime around 6:56 p.m.

Police said a CTA bus’ window was smashed at the same location earlier in the day.
