Coyote on the Loose in the Loop?

I have seen a lot of things happen downtown, but this is a first.

This morning, around 3:30 a.m., a coyote was seen sprinting southbound on State Street and Lake Street around 3:30 a.m. An ABC7 cameraman followed the frightened creature for a mile, until the coyote disappeared in the vicinity of State Street and Roosevelt Road.

Wile E. Coyote may be hiding out in Grant Park.

NOTE: Fellow blogger, Timmy, documented a Coyote sighting in the Avondale neighborhood, Sunday.

  1. Hey Timothy,
This might be the same one spotted last night in the western part of the Avondale neighborhood.

  2. You might be right. Coyotes can cover a lot of ground. I feel sorry for the little critter. I hope he or she doesn't get hit by a car.

By the way, I think I heard that Avondale/Coyote report on my scanner.
