Elderly Woman Robbed: Gold Chain Snatched

An elderly woman was robbed on the street in front of 2001 West Lawrence Ave. The crime occurred around 11:52 a.m.
Witnesses say a man walked up to the elderly woman and snatched a gold chain off her neck. Afterwards, the senior citizen tried to chase the man.
The suspect was described as an African-American man, wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.
He was last seen running westbound in an alley behind the Social Security Administration office at 2127 W. Lawrence Ave.
