Chicago police have charged 23-year-old Sharod Pierce with the murder of 18-year-old Anthony Carter. You can read my initial report on Anthony Carter’s death, here.
Police say on August 31, 2010, at approximately 12 am, Carter was talking to a group of people near his West side home on the 4000 block of West Jackson Boulevard, when Pierce emerged and shot him to death. The motive for the shooting has not been disclosed. However, investigators believe the crime may be drug related, since Pierce allegedly asked, "Who you working for?", before he shot Carter to death.
Pierce lived on the 3400 block of West Walnut Street, but was apprehended on Friday at 5329 S. Drexel Blvd., in Chicago's Hyde Park neighborhood.
Pierce is being held without bound. He is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 7, 2010.

Until the black and Latino community rids itself of fools and people who give birth to fools, more deaths will follow! And I don't want to hear anybody ask the question what race has to do with it, either! Pay attention to the news. White people and Asian are not making daily headlines for murders in Chicago - Blacks and Latinos are!
