| UPDATE: A suspect is in custody. Officers had to use a Taser to subdue the man. Unfortunately, both officers were injured during the struggle with the suspect. One officer sustained a facial contusion. |
4:45 am -- Shots were fired in the area of 5537 N. Winthrop. Police chased a shirtless, African-American man wearing shorts, through a nearby alley. He was last seen fleeing northbound on Winthrop.
