7:30 pm -- Someone reported a person with a knife trying to break into the O'Toole, Luke Elementary School, located at 6550 S. Seeley Ave. Because of a shooting in the neighborhood, over the weekend, officers were warned to use extreme caution in the area. Apparently, a large, hostile crowd gather at the scene of that crime.
When a Chicago police officer arrived at the school, he noticed an open window on the west side of the property. He immediately called for back and canine patrol. The officer believed there may be a burglar inside the building.
However, after a brief investigation, it was determined that the building engineer was probably still on the premises.
Looking for a photo of the school, I went to what I believed was the school’s website: www.lukeotoole.org. Unfortunately, ownership of the domain name lapsed, due to non-payment.
