2:09 am -- A taxi cab was allegedly stolen from the area of South State Street and East Cermak Road. The vehicle is described as a white, Globe cab, with the numbers 348 on it.
The taxi driver said the suspected car thief fled southbound from the scene.
The company that owns the cab, later tracked the vehicle going northbound near State Street and Harrison.
At 2:42 am, the car was stopped by a police officer at 16 West Ontario. No further details are available.
Note: There is a question mark in the title of this article, because the officer who stopped the cab, gave me the impression that he wasn't sure this car was actually stolen.
