The first incident was reported at 5:03 p.m., from the intersection of North Oakley and West Rosemont Avenues, in the Far North Side West Ridge, West Rogers Park neighborhood.
Citing police dispatch reports, two black males, both wearing masks, stole a female victim’s Cricket cell phone.
When police arrived at the scene, the victim had left the area. However, she later returned and called police, again, around 5:46 p.m.
Less than twenty minutes later, a second robbery was reported in the city’s Rogers Park community.
Around 5:22 p.m., a woman said she was mugged by a known male offender on the 7500 block of North Clark Street, near Clark and Birchwood.
The complainant said the man stole her purse, said police.
After the alleged robbery, the victim went to a nearby Dominick’s Finer Foods store, 1763 West Howard Street, where she waited for police.
With Chicago crime showing no sign of slowing down, at approximately 5:40 p.m., a third robbery was reported on the 6200 block of North Campbell Avenue, between Rosemont and Granville.
Two black males, both believed to be around 18-years-old, knocked the victim down, dragged her into a nearby alley, and stole her purse, according to police communications.
The suspects were last running northbound on Campbell, then eastbound on an unspecified street.
At the time of this report, the offenders involved in the robberies were still at large.
Looks like West Rogers Park is the next in a long line of neighborhoods, from North, South, and West sides, that are spiraling out of control.
ReplyDeleteOne after another, these formerly beautiful places to live are turning into extensions of the ghetto.
What's the common denominator?
The lousy politicians refuse to acknowledge the truth...that blacks destroy neighborhoods.
ReplyDeleteCommon denominator....ummmmm....Melanin?
