Lincoln Park: Woman robbed while chatting on cell phone

A woman was robbed while talking on her cell phone in Chicago's North Side, Lincoln Park neighborhood, according to a DePaul University community alert.

The robbery occurred Friday, July 13, 2012, around 3 a.m. on the 1100 block of West Fullerton Avenue, near Fullerton and Seminary.

The victim was walking westbound on Fullerton Avenue when an unknown male offender approached her from behind, reached into her purse, and stole a billfold containing money and personal IDs.

The suspect, who was wearing black clothing, was last seen headed eastbound on Fullerton.

The community alert did not provide a complete description of the offender.

  1. She "probably deserved it" for not having her head spinning around like Linda Blair in the Exorcist looking for criminals while possibly calling a cab driver (that are probably afraid of the area now too) after getting off of "world class" public transportation from her job at a hospital saving the lives of the same people that are trying to take hers.

"The community alert did not provide a complete description of the offender". Sounds similar to the throat slasher incident in Wrigleyville. Hey, at least they issued one there immediately (rather than days after).

Are people here still that stupid to not see through this? I ain't "buyin'".
