At 3:52 a.m., several citizens reported gunshots on the 7500 block of North Winchester Avenue.
One 911 caller said he saw a man put a body in a car, said police.
At 3:55 a.m., gunshots were reported about a block north of the Winchester location, near the intersection of Howard Street and Damen Avenue.
Shortly thereafter, officials at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois, confirmed a man was shot outside the Popeye’s Chicken and Biscuits at 1959 West Howard Street, in Rogers Park.
Citing preliminary reports, the shooting victim, described as a black male, was shot in the lower leg.
According to police communications, several shells casing were found behind the Far North Side restaurant.
KFC, Popeyes, and McDonalds are not safe anymore, and I'm not talking about the food...
ReplyDelete^In this city, no. Strange, but Popeye's is probably one of the few (if only) sub-standard fast-food chains that have survived in - only -urban areas across the nation. Unlike KFC, everything they offer is "cajun" or "spicy". Social workers care to chime in?
