Cops: Woman robbed at knifepoint in Edgewater

Two men robbed a woman in Chicago’s North Side, Edgewater community late Monday night... and worthless criminals used a knife to overpower their victim.

On April 9, 2012, around 11:49 p.m., a female victim was robbed at knifepoint near (5400 North) Winthrop and (1100 West) Balmoral Avenues, said police.

The offenders were described as two male blacks.

One crook is approximately 6’3’ with a thin build.

The second offender is about 6-feet-tall and he has a stocky build.

Both robbers were wearing black jackets, said police.

The thieves stole an iPhone in a gold, sequins case.

The cowardly punks were last seen running northbound through a west alley near Winthrop and Balmoral.

No arrests were made… police are investigating.
