Friday, around 10:13 p.m., several 911 callers reported an attack on the 3600 block of North Broadway, near Broadway and Addison, said police.
According to police dispatch, a male offender threw a woman on the ground.
The attacker, who was wearing a dark green, down jacket, was described as a male black with short hair and a dark complexion.
The suspect is believed to be in his 20s, about 5’10”, with a medium build.
Eyewitnesses said the suspect fled the scene southbound on Broadway from Addison.
Police detained a possible suspect at the nearby Jewel-Osco at 3531 North Broadway, but the subject was released after the victim failed to identify him as the man who knocked her down.
At the time of this report, it was unclear if the assault was related to a robbery, attempted robbery, or a domestic dispute.
As of 10:49 p.m., the suspect was still at large.

You can't stand in one place for more than 30 seconds (i.e. hailing a cab) without somebody trying to sell you drugs (2 instances last night). One's a toofless 70+ y.o. white guy dressed like a rapper wannabe offering "weekend goodies" in front of Halsted Street's pride and joy flagship establishment.
It's really a shame how those businesses sold out for the sake of a $ on the backs of gay men. They've made a mockery of us and it's beyond insulting.
They need a new pride march or donation jars to fight the war of adult GWM being hoodwinked, bamboozled and "bullied" (by their "own" no less) too.

While America still lets gays be gay you should probably stfu and just worry about keeping crime out of your neighborhood, not "ugly straight women". If you're pretentious enough to think that being gay means you get to touch another person without consent, you deserve a non-consensual punch/touch to the face.

Some of those gays can't walk into a bar by themselves to save their life. They're kinda a perfect match - they know there's no "sexual tension" and they can just go out an truly act like fools together. It's a co-dependency thing. It's very obvious.
ReplyDeleteI see the bars are obviously desperate for money and these younger gays can't post an online profile picture without a female in it nor go to any type of function by themselves without their heifer security blanket. I think a great compromise would be to get them out by 12:00am at the latest. I'm sure you can't post a sign to that effect but cut the service, make them feel unwelcome, lock the female bathroom doors, whatever.
It's not even worth going out on that strip for a gay male that doesn't want to do buy drugs or hang out with fat chicks and talk about Madonna or Lady Gaga.
This was not the norm years ago. I used to see - once in a while - somebody bringing a sibling or their Mother (always thought that was wierd) but it was rare. Other than that the only time I saw a non-gay male in a gay bar was someone's father pulling one out by the ear. I'm serious. You need at least ONE gay only bar somewhere in this city. It's only fair. You don't know what's what out there.

I have found that if you stomp on the toes of a fat woman in a crowded bar, she will leave. She can't charge you with assault because you can say it was an accident. You can even apologize to make it seem like one. Her broken toes may discourage her from returning again.

Funny, I spoke to one of them on many, many occasions before his time and from what he told me, he was a career bartender.
