Several people ‘pepper sprayed’ after answering knock at the door

Several people were sprayed in the face with a chemical agent, believed to be pepper spray or mace, after answering a knock at their door.

Unfortunately, we don’t have a lot of details, but we’ll share the information we have.

So far, we have been able to determine that the incidents took place in an apartment building on the North Side, possibly in the 23rd police district, around 7:32 p.m.

The assaults may have occurred at 915 West Wilson Avenue, but we are not entirely sure that’s the correct address, or if the crimes actually occurred in Uptown.

Now, here's what we know for sure.

Police said two black females in winter clothing knocked on random doors; when the tenants opened their doors, the female suspects sprayed their unsuspecting victims in the face with a debilitating substance and fled the scene in an unknown direction.

Because of the lack of information, we started to ditch this story. But after careful consideration, we decided this information may be useful.

  1. I don't open my door for anybody but Peapod, or the pizza man and both of them know better than to rob me.
