A man was attacked during a home invasion at a Far North Side condo in Chicago’s West Ridge, West Rogers Park neighborhood, said police.

At approximately 2:51 a.m., a 911 caller said a male offender kicked in his door on the 6600 block of North Ridge Boulevard, near Ridge and Albion, said police.

Once inside, the suspect reportedly attacked a male occupant, said authorities.

The intruder was described as a 5-foot-4 male black wearing a dress shirt and a sweater.

When the door was kicked in, doesn't it become breaking and entering? I thought it was home invasion if the person entered an open door.
