Gage Park: Woman carjacked, pulled from vehicle, dragged
A woman was injured during a vehicular hijacking on the South Side of Chicago, said police.
Monday, around 3:02 a.m., a female victim was pulled from her car on the 5900 block of South Mozart Street in Gage Park, said authorities.
Investigators said when the woman tried to stop the carjackers, the offenders struck the woman with her own vehicle and drug her down the street.
A responding officer observed bruises on the victim, but the officer did not elaborate on the severity of the victim’s injuries.
The suspects were described as two male Hispanics.
The stolen vehicle is a dark blue Mercury Grand Marquis.
According to an officer at the scene, the hijacked automobile looks like a “police car”.
No further details are available.
