Rogers Park: Robbery near Pottawattomie Park


At approximately 7 p.m., a victim was robbed near a North Side Chicago park, said police.

The crime happened at Wolcott and Rogers Avenues, near Pottawattomie Park; which is located at 7340 North Rogers Avenue.

Four male blacks on bikes, approached the victim, said police.

Authorities said one of the suspects snatched the victim’s cell phone.

The thief who snatch the phone is approximately 17-years-old, 6-feet-tall, with a thin build.

He has dark, short hair and was wearing a dark jacket.

Police toured the area, but there was no indication an arrest was made.

  1. How much you want to bet those bikes were stolen too? Highly doubt these scum bags bought those bikes.

  2. You can't buy bikes with food stamps. That means the bikes were definitely stolen.

  6. Can't blame Anonymous #3 for the misread. 9 times out of 10 they don't state the race of the person especially if it is a black person.
