Boystown: Man attacked with a rock during possible attempted robbery

An injured man looking for assistance, entered the Boystown, Lakeview neighborhood Walgreens at 3201 North Broadway, around 5:28 a.m., said police.

A preliminary report indicated the man was attacked with a baseball bat.

However, subsequent information from an officer at the scene, suggested the victim was struck in the head with a rock.

During the attack, the victim dropped his cell phone, said police.

Authorities said the complainant wasn’t sure where he dropped his property.

The offender was simply described as a male black.

A responding officer said the victim may have been assaulted during an attempted robbery.

No further details are available.

  1. This neighbor is pitiful. The escalating crime is disgusting. The alderman is useless. The end.

  2. One of these days, one of the victims is going to die from these savage beatings. It does not take to seriously injure the brain and cause death.

  3. One of these days Chicago will take an active stance on loitering.

  4. Ghetto thugs RUIN every where they go and the redline ghetto express isn't helping. I can't even imagine what it's going to be like when they extend the ghetto express, which would allow even more ghetto thugs into neighborhoods they don't belong in.

Some people really do RUIN it for everyone.
