VIDEO: Ford City security guards maced during training
In this economy, if you have a job, consider yourself lucky. But how far would you go to keep your paycheck?
Two videos, uploaded to YouTube on August 21, 2011, show two female security guards in training at Ford City Mall, located at 7601 South Cicero Avenue.
During the training exercise, both women were sprayed in the face with pepper spray or mace.
Then the women were instructed to fight their way through a human obstacle course.

I'd reduce myself to driving a bus for a union job @ $60K/year - with a smile on my face too (and not cracking gum with that Chicago style "look like I just bit a brick frown" because a nice young lady had the NERVE to ask me "does this bus stop at Superior?"). #145/LSD/Belmont this a.m. Badge #386**. Fire it. He obviously is unappreciative (but probably has an MBA, right?).
ReplyDeleteYa know there's all this fighting, berating, sunflower shell spittin' on this route, right?
You couldn't pay me enough to do that job, especially at Ford City Mall!
ReplyDeleteThe hoodrats at Ford City are not armed with mace! Trust me!!!!! You'll need something a lot stronger than a face full of water when they get through with you!
ReplyDeleteSecurity Guards need Defensive Tactics Training, just like police officers do. It is not unusual for trainees to go through voluntary exposure, so that they know what to expect if they are accidentally maced during a struggle, and to develop an understanding of how a suspect should respond when maced.
