The incident occurred August 6, 2011, around 8 p.m., on the 800 block of North Michigan Avenue.
According to one source, the black mob attack occurred in front of the Water Tower Place at 835 North Michigan Avenue.
Before the teen was arrested, an officer saw an estimated 20 people “jumping up and down” and behaving suspiciously in front of the Water Tower Place.
When the officer approached, he reportedly saw several black teens beating a man on the ground.
A 15-year-old suspect was arrested, the other offenders fled the scene, said investigators.
The mob attack victim declined medical treatment and did not want to press charges against his alleged attacker, said police.
See, at first we thought these kids were unpredictable but it seems now we're pretty aware of where their targets are and can avoid them.
