Car accident in Uptown, injuries reported


A two-car accident was reported on Chicago’s North Side Thursday morning.

The 8:40 a.m. crash happened on the 4300 block of North Broadway Street near the intersection of Broadway and Montrose, said police.

An ambulance and tow truck were called to the scene.

The nature and severity of the injuries were not disclosed.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.

Seems like someone wasn't paying attention..talking on the phone, blowing a stoplight, trying to beat the light, drivers have become so distracted and in a hurry, I'm surprised there aren't more accidents than there are. In a 1 mile+ area on Sheridan Rd from Hollywood to Granville last year, there were at least 10 accidents that I am aware of. 2 of them took out the bus shelter and, thankfully, no one was hurt. This year, already a pedestrian was killed crossing the street. So much for speed limit laws, cell phone use or texting laws. If they're not enforced, no one pays attention to them. Just a waste of paper and time!
    I hope everyone is ok from this rotten start to their day.
