Green Dolphin Street: Stabbing victim files lawsuit

A man who was stabbed multiple times at a North Side Chicago bar and restaurant, has filed a lawsuit.

On November 14, 2010, Demario Brown was beaten and stabbed in the head, neck, and body; while security at the Green Dolphin Street nightclub, 2200 North Ashland Avenue, failed to intervene, alleges the lawsuit.

According to the legal complaint, filed by Susan E. Loggans and Associates, because of prior acts of violence at the club, the owners and operators at Green Dolphin Street failed to protect Brown from foreseeable harm.

The complaint, which was filed March 1, 2011, seeks $50,000 in damages.

  1. $50,000..is that all? Their insurance covers way more than that. This guy better be getting a second opinion IF he was beaten and stabbed that badly. They'll come back with a much lower offer and than he has to pay his attorney out of that. Start high and they can work their way down to $50,000 that he walks with. That bar deserves it and should be closed for all sorts of violations. Sometimes I wonder just who's pocketing money so these bars stay open.

  2. I agree. $50,000 seems like a small price to pay.

  3. What is the big attraction to/with bars?
