Strong-arm robbery at Uptown “L” station

Police are looking for three black offenders involved in a strong-arm robbery on Chicago’s North Side.

The crime occurred at the Uptown Lawrence train station at 1117 West Lawrence Avenue, around 7:20 p.m. Authorities didn't say if the victim was robbed on the platform, or on the street.

One offender was wearing a black sweatshirt with a red logo on it. A clothing description for the other offenders was not provided.

All three suspects were last seen running "southbound through an east alley on Broadway", said police.

At 7:31 p.m., officers stopped a possible suspect at Magnolia and Sunnyside. It isn’t clear if any arrests have been made.

  1. People YOU HAVE TO STAY ALERT on the CTA AND you have to help. Don't just stand there and watch or take out your cell phone to video the crime, help the victim. We are becoming a country of cowards and people with the "it's not my job" attitude. Third world countries are putting us to shame by the way they are standing up for their rights.
