Police search for suspect in West Rogers Park robberies

At 9:17 p.m., police were engaged in an exhaustive search for an African-American suspect on Chicago’s Far North Side.

Apparently, several armed robberies occurred on the 2000 block of West Granville in West Rogers Park.

The search for the offender led investigators to 2046 West hood Street - where the perpetrator was last seen running through a nearby alley.

At one point, officers involved in the hunt, were looking underneath parked cars for the suspect.

The offender was described as 18 years-old, about 5’6” to 5’8” and was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, after discarding the black sweatshirt he was initially wearing, when the chase began.

Authorities said the thief also dropped a black face mask.

Wonder how many "layers" these ghetto thugs actually wear so they can throw off the cops when a description is given of them? Must wear a lot of "layers" because of all the crimes they commit. Wonder what they'll do in the summer????
