  1. "perception is everything to business"...with all these ghetto thugs roaming the streets on Michigan Ave and River North robbing, stealing and mugging the customers, business will start to become rather dismal for fear of becoming a victim. That is perception. Are these scumbags trying to turn Chicago into the ghost town that is now Detroit?

  2. Towanda, I am glad you made that point! That's why mainstream media fudges the address when a crime occurs in front of a business.

For example, the robbery in front of the Neo bar. CBS told their readers the crime happened on the 500 block of west Fullerton.

  4. There ya go with that Detroit crap (even though ya never been there). And Uptown or Edgewater are better than Detroit in what ways? Please 'splain. I've never even been to Chicago's South or West sides (nor your "wild 100's), nor will I.

So again, please explain as I've been hoodwinked and bamboozled. Chicago city proper is different than Detroit city proper in what way? I think it's a subconscious racism because Detroit is, for the most part, all Black but Chicago isn't? Personally, I think it's because

Signed, Never Saw A Murder In Detroit But Saw One In Edgewater/Never Been Chased Down The Street By A Guy With A Knife But Was In Edgewater

P.S. I'm gonna establish one of those "flicker" accounts and start taking pics of the abandoned, boarded up buildings on Clark St. in Andersonville, Uptown or other places in Edgewater or Rogers Park. Hell, I might even go gung-ho and phtotgraph the West & South sides. What a Field Day!

  5. Anonymous@9:29. Do a google search of Yves Marchand and Romain Meffre and check out their Detroit pictures. Also, on a scale of 100, Detroit is rated # 4 for ALL crime. Chicago is rated #9 so, it looks like we are becoming Detroit. Explain to me why the city of Detroit is pretty much boarded up and great buildings are abandoned? Do you think it might have something to do with the crime? I hardly see that going on in Chicago. Check out the people I told you to google and get back to this blog. It's pretty sad to see that's for sure.

  6. Anonyous,

If Detroit is better than Chicago, than why are you still in Chicago? :)
