Around 8:50 p.m., three thieves robbed a west side business at gunpoint.
The robbery occurred at 724 North Cicero Avenue in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood; near the intersection of Cicero and West Superior Street.
Police called the business the “Apple Candy store”. But according to their business license, the address belongs to Tina’s African Hair Braiding.
Authorities said three African-American men were involved in the hold-up. All three men were wearing black clothing. One offender was wearing a black face mask.
No further details are available.

I wonder if there is just 1 neighborhood in the city that doesn't have crime on a nightly basis? I think it would be a good idea if a study were done to that affect...we could all move there:)
ReplyDeleteI seldom hear about crime in Hyde Park. But hey! I can't be everywhere at the same time. :-)
ReplyDeleteThat's true but disappointing:) You're right, very little postings about Hyde Park..better knock on wood now..
ReplyDeleteI believe the University of Chicago police may have something to do with Hype Park's seemingly low crime rate.
ReplyDeleteI grew up in that neighborhood, not too far from Obama's house, and the University cops were always on patrol. They seem to be everywhere!
